Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we hear most about buying refurbished equipment and sending equipment in for repair. Don't see yours? Call or email and ask.
Buying
Why is there no price on the site?
Price depends on the unit in front of us, what comes with it, and what we have on the shelf. Send the make, model or part number through the quote form and we will reply with a price and availability.
Is the item in stock?
Stock moves, and the site can lag behind the shelf. Treat a listing as "we carry this" and ask us to confirm before you plan around it. Your quote tells you what we have today.
Is it new or used?
If the title says "new," it is new. Everything else is used equipment we have refurbished. Ask about a specific unit and we will tell you what we know about it.
What warranty comes with it?
- Refurbished equipment: six months.
- Battery and electric powered instruments: 90 days.
- New equipment: the manufacturer's warranty.
A listing or quote that states different terms overrides these. Improper use, handling or shipping voids all warranties.
How do I pay?
We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, PayPal and bank wire. We ask for payment before we ship unless we have agreed other terms with you. Items that show a price can be bought on the site with Buy now, by card on Authorize.net's secure payment page or with PayPal where that button shows. Everything else is quote only: click Contact for pricing, and your quote tells you how to pay.
Do you buy equipment or take trade-ins?
We do not buy equipment outright. We take trade-ins as credit toward a purchase. Send a list and a few photos to info@westcoastmedicalequipment.com.
Do you sell to veterinary practices?
Yes. Veterinary hospitals buy from us alongside hospitals, surgery centers, orthopedic practices and clinics. Our catalog includes TPLO equipment.
Repairs
Do you repair equipment you didn't sell?
Yes. We repair power equipment, endoscopes, camera heads, pumps and electrosurgical units from most major makers. See the full list.
What does an evaluation cost?
Nothing. You cover shipping to us and back. We quote the repair once we have looked at the unit. If you decline the quote, there is no charge. You pay only the shipping to get the unit back.
How do I send something in?
Request an RMA number on the RMA form, write it on or inside the box, and ship it to us. Every incoming unit needs an RMA number.
How long does a repair take?
It depends on the equipment and on parts availability.
What warranty comes with a repair?
Six months on pneumatic powered instruments, bur guards, hoses and attachments. 90 days on everything else, including endoscopes, battery and electric powered instruments, and cables. The warranty covers the repair we performed, not the whole instrument.
Shipping and returns
How do you ship?
FedEx for most orders, from our facility in Rancho Cucamonga. Prices do not include freight. See Shipping & Returns.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes. For orders outside the United States and Canada, contact us first for terms. You pay any customs duties, fees, taxes and import charges.
Can I return something?
Only with our authorization first. Request an RMA number before you ship anything back.
Can you advise on using this equipment on patients?
No. We sell and repair equipment. Questions about clinical use belong with the manufacturer's instructions and your clinical team.
